Doi tineri condamnaţi pentru furt virtual

O judecătorie din Amsterdam a condamnat doi tineri, unul de 15 ani şi celălalt de 14 ani, pentru furt virtual. Pedeapsa a fost stabilită la 200 de ore de muncă în folosul comunităţii pentru cel de 15 ani, respectiv 160 de ore pentru cel de 14 ani.
Motivul a fost acela că cei doi tineri l-au convins pe cel de-al 3-lea, în vârstă de 13 ani, să le transfere în conturile lor o amuletă şi o mască virtuală din jocul RuneScape, fără să îi plătească preţul cuvenit.
"Aceste bunuri virtuale sunt bunuri (sub legea olandeză), aşadar e furt" a concluzionat curtea de justiţie din Amsterdam.
Aşa că de acum există un precedent, acest caz fiind primul care tratează în mod serios problema bunurilor virtuale din jocurile online.

Spark Unlimited: Legendary amânat pe toate platformele

John Garcia-Shelton, producer Spark Unlimited, a declarat într-un interviu acordat site-ului Gaming Nexus că lansarea first-person shooter-ului Legendary a fost amânată. Astfel, versiunea Xbox 360 va fi disponibilă în magazinele de specialitate începând cu 31 octombrie (faţă de 30 septembrie stabilit anterior), în timp ce versiunile PC şi PlayStation 3 au fost amânate până în noiembrie.

American McGee anunţă BaiJiu Racer

Să râdem un pic de noua idee a lui American McGee, care a anunţat acest viitor MMO de curse de carturi, BaiJiu Racer, a cărui scenă de desfăşurare va fi nici mai mult nici mai puţin decât China.
Din declaraţiile producătorului, inspiraţia i-a venit din titluri ca Mario Kart sau KartRider şi este primul joc de genul cu temă pur chineză, cu elemente artistice, locaţii reale din China şi vehicule aparţinând aceleaşi culturi.
Ca şi specific al jocului, producătorii ne povestesc despre:

elemente artistice care vorbesc despre cultura chineză
o interfaţă clară şi simplistă
stil de joc orientat înspre dezvoltare propriilor abilităţi şi nu bazat pe alergătura nebunească după "powerups"
vehicule specifice zonei
trasee care arată zone din China pe care puţini le cunosc, etc.

Platforma multiplayer folosită aparţine lui Spicy Horse, unul dintre cei mai cunoscuţi producători independenţi de jocuri din China.
